What happens if I'm listening to a song with my headphones and a call comes in. Will it pause the song and allow me to answer the call? Will I be able to use the headphones for the call? Will they build a microphone into that I don't have to hold the thing up to my head like some cell's speaker phones do?
It seems reasonable to assume that the cell phone will pause your music, and you will be able to talk into a mic on the headset. Additionally, there would probably be a button on the headset so you can answer and hang up a call (and adjust volume/tracks) without taking the phone out of your pocket. My ancient Samsung Uproar (http://www.samsungtelecom.com/uproar/index.html) had all those capabilities (and a whopping 64 MB RAM!) more than 5 years ago.
(I actually really liked that phone...I only stopped using it because I had to switch from Sprint due to unbearable lack of reception.)

Too big! This is what M$ didn't understand. The value of a tablet is NOT simply being able to write on the screen of a laptop. Tablets need to be comfortable in one hand, they need to be able to collect information (text, drawing, audio, still and motion video), they need to be able to play back information (on its own screen, but also on TVs, projectors, etc), and they need to be able to sync up with home computers. I probably want some functional capabilties (e.g. iPhoto red eye and retouch, or simple text/excel type input) but I DO NOT NEED TO RUN PHOTOSHOP ON MY TABLET! I will transfer my data/photos/video onto my main computer to do that kind of work.
If you give me a highly portable dock (something I can toss in a bag, and whip it out if I need it), then I won't need a bevy of I/O devices (firewire, s-video, etc) on the tablet itself. That can shrink the size, weight, and heat output.

If this is true, I'd be a little pissed lol. I just traded up from my two 23" ACD's for two 24" LED LCD's.
Hopefully this means with the Mac Pro rumors refresh and Final Cut release that Apple is refocusing on their neglected pro-line. Maybe we'll see a full line of dedicated displays instead of one stripped down iMac panel.

Unless there is a pre-WWDC hardware announcement, it seems like a perfect time to introduce "Thunderbolt" on the MacPro or maybe even on the iMac. It seems absurd that a laptop will remain the machine with the highest I/O speeds and capability for Apple.

If 10.7 contains the ability to create a recovery partition, wouldn't it be simple enough to also have the feature of creating that same partition on a USB drive (or burn to disk)?
In theory it seems like that could have the potential to be even better than a commercially burned DVD since it could be updated as 10.7.x updates come out. They'd just need to include a user option for updating the recovery partition or not (or best case, have the recovery partition include all the 10.7.x revisions and let power users choose which version is restored).
We don't know specifics yet, but many people seem to be assuming that Apple wouldn't include any way to recover and reinstall, which seems extremely unlikely.

I find it humorous over these posts but basically people shouldn't be surprised or even angry.
Apple has always maintained a closed ecosystem with the iPhone. This is no different. You want choice and ability to easily modify the OS, then go to android. Apple is all about the walled garden and they're not about to change now.

I was tempted not to post, but, I think understanding the order of operations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_operations)/etc is something that is relatively important.
Multiple people have quoted the order : P(arenthes) E(xponents) M(ultiplication) D(ivision) A(ddition) S(ubtraction).
As stated, that is NOT totally accurate. Multiplication and division are the same operation, as are addition and subtraction. Thus, the order between them can be flipped. That is, P E D M A S is true, as is P E D M S A, as is P E M D S A.
If multiplication and division both appear you go from LEFT to RIGHT.
Parenthesis are implied multiplication.

I've been using the inverted scrolling for a few weeks. At first, it was very weird and found myself scrolling the wrong way often. However, after a few day, I started to "get" the metaphor and it became natural. Now when I go to work and use their computers, I feel the scrolling on XP is the opposite of what feels natural.
If it only took me a few days to reverse over a decade of training and muscle memory, then maybe it's not that a stupid setting.

Not if you care about colo[u]r management. While Apple continues its love affair with shiny screens, creatives need an alternative.
Considering the market is moving towards digital distribution on these shiny screens, color management is going by the wayside, especially with a lack of standards now in HD/cable TV.
Also, it's called having a second calibrated monitor for TV like all good post houses should have.
Been doing creative for 15+ years. Apple's shiny screens over the last years haven't caused us to miss a beat.

What does "willing to be convinced" mean? Will you read Human Action by Mises? It's a thousand pages of thoroughly explained economics. You don't have to read the whole thing, just the sections pertaining to monetary policy and taxes.

If you are waiting for a super intelligent, eloquent, and succinct guy to spend a lot of time convincing people on message boards in order to be convinced of anything you don't already believe, you'll never change your mind about anything.
